How to immigrate with a 462 (working holiday) visa?

Option 1: apply for work visa/employer's guarantee.

The employer-sponsored 457 work visa has slightly lower requirements for English and academic qualifications. Generally speaking, academic qualifications require a diploma or above, English requires IELTS 5 points, and the single subject is not less than 4.5. If you can get 4 6 points in IELTS, you can apply for a permanent residence visa sponsored by your employer in remote areas.

However, the prerequisite for applying for an employer-sponsored visa is to find an Australian employer who is willing to sponsor himself. During working holidays, you can subconsciously look for employers who are interested in this aspect, or subconsciously accumulate work experience in a certain industry to prepare for the next immigration application. Students who fail to meet the requirements in education and English can apply for a work visa or employer's guarantee by continuing their studies in Australia (see option 4).

Option 2: Apply for skilled immigrants from Australia

The basic requirements for skilled immigrants are bachelor degree or above, with IELTS score of 6 or above. Their major and work background must be on the SOL, and they must pass the scoring test to reach the immigration scoring standard for the occupation they apply for (at present, the minimum scoring standard stipulated by the Immigration Bureau is 60).

If you can directly meet the requirements of skilled immigrants, you can directly apply for skilled immigrants. You can get extra points for having qualified relatives in Australia. However, skilled immigrants often have Australian education or good English or more relevant work experience. Some students whose majors are not on the immigration list, or whose academic qualifications and English can't meet the requirements, can apply for skilled immigration after further study in Australia (see option 4).

Option 3: Apply for accompanying study or spouse visa.

If the boyfriend/girlfriend is studying in Australia and the COE is still above 10 (generally speaking), she can apply for a spouse's accompanying visa directly after the working holiday expires. Or if your spouse is an Australian PR, you can apply for spouse immigration directly.

Option 4: Apply for a student visa to study in Australia.

If you can't meet the requirements of Option 1 or Option2, you can apply for a student visa first, continue to study in Australia, and continue to apply for immigration after making up for the lack of English or academic qualifications. This method is especially suitable for students who come with a working holiday visa after graduating from middle school, university or junior college. Make a clear study plan, meet the requirements of professional education and language through further study in Australia, and further apply for immigration.
