Shortened application time: According to relevant regulations, the time limits for the approval and issuance of ordinary passports, passes to and from Hong Kong and Macao, and passes to and from Taiwan by the public security entry and exit management agencies are 15, 60, and 30 days respectively. In order to meet the people's growing demand for traveling abroad, in the past period, the Ministry of Public Security has successively issued relevant regulations to shorten the time limit for permit application. Currently, it generally takes 10 working days for residents of our province to apply for entry-exit documents.

Starting from September 1st, our province’s Exit-Entry Administration will further simplify procedures, optimize the approval process, use information technology to speed up the approval process, and decide to allow mainland residents to apply for ordinary passports and travel documents at their place of residence. The time limit for approval and issuance of Hong Kong and Macao passes and Taiwan travel passes has been shortened to 7 working days, maximizing the convenience for people to apply for permits and travel.

Replacement of documents in another place: At present, residents of our province can apply for entry-exit documents at any entry-exit management department in the province with their ID cards, that is, the application of certificates in other places in the province has long been realized. The application of cross-provincial entry and exit documents has also been implemented in our province. However, residents with non-local household registration need to provide proof of identity and residence permit to apply for relevant documents in Henan.

Starting from September 1st, in order to further facilitate mainland residents to apply for entry-exit documents in different places, more inter-provincial applicants will no longer have to "run back and forth" to exchange (replacement) entry documents. "Run", applicants with non-local household registration can apply for replacement (replacement) of ordinary passports, travel passes to Hong Kong and Macao, and travel passes to Taiwan in accordance with the same entry-exit document application regulations as Henan residents.
