Visa cannot be extended in China.

If the duration of the course you are studying is 10 months or less, then the Australian student visa will be accompanied by clause 8534 (No Stay), which means that before the visa expires, students can't apply for any visa to extend their stay in China except immigration application and work permit, including Australian student visa extension. Students must leave Australia after the visa expires. If students want to take other courses, they must return to China to apply for a new student visa.

If a customer encounters special circumstances and needs to apply for renewal of studying in Australia, then we can apply for visa exemption from Special Section 8534 of the Immigration Bureau. There are many reasons for special circumstances, such as medical and health care, emergencies and so on.

For the renewal of studying in Australia in China, if the course is less than 10 month, the Immigration Bureau may not enforce Article 8534 at present. We usually write a note to the applicant, explaining the customer's intention to apply for studying in Australia in the future and asking the visa officer not to add 8534 here.

After graduation, international students apply for TR or PR of immigration category in China. If there are 8,534 items, they cannot submit them when applying for an electronic visa for studying in Australia. Therefore, they must apply for 8534 exemption at the same time when submitting their applications.
