If the man applies for building a house after the adoption of his son-in-law, he must cancel the registration at the homestead of the collective economic organization where the original household registration is located, return it to the village collective economic organization or adjust it to the villagers who meet the application conditions of the homestead.
Rural homestead area, application conditions and procedures
(A) rural homestead area standards
Rural villagers can only own one homestead, and they can only enjoy the homestead of their own village. Villages should strictly implement the large, medium and small area standards:
1. Large apartment (more than 6 people) shall not exceed125m2 at most;
2. Middle households (4-5 persons) shall not exceed 1 10 square meter;
3 small (3 people and below) shall not exceed 90 square meters.

Rural villagers who meet one of the following conditions may apply for building houses:
1. Need to relocate due to national construction, resettlement in reclamation areas, disasters, etc. ;

3 permanent residents have received a marriage certificate or not, reaching the legal age of late marriage, and it is really necessary to build a house by households;

Rural villagers in any of the following circumstances, shall not apply for homestead:
1. With a homestead;
2. Sell, lease, donate or transfer the buildings on the homestead in other forms;
3. After all family members apply as a household and get approval, if they do not have the conditions for separation of households, the separation of households shall prevail;
4. Others do not meet the conditions for applying for building.
(3) rural homestead application procedures
1. Users who meet the requirements for building, rebuilding or relocating houses should write a written application to the local village committee, and the village building leading group will submit it to the two village committees for study. After the two committees of the village draw up a plan, it will be discussed and passed by the villagers' representative meeting or the general meeting of heads of households, and will be posted in the village affairs column and accepted by the masses.
2. If the masses have no objection within 5 days after posting, the village committee will report the homestead arrangement plan to the soil controller and planner. 3.
