Can I get a visa on arrival in Vietnam?
According to the Agreement on Mutual Visa Waiver between China and Vietnam on March 1992, Vietnamese citizens holding valid ordinary passports for diplomatic, official and business purposes and their accompanying persons using the same passport are exempt from visas when entering, leaving or transiting Vietnam. The stay period is 30 days. If an extension is needed, an application must be made by the Vietnamese reception unit and handled at the Exit-Entry Administration of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam.
Visa on arrival means that the applicant does not directly obtain a visa from the host country to other countries, but arrives at the port of the country with a passport and an entry permit issued by the relevant authorities of the country, and then issues a visa. Visa on arrival is usually unilateral.
