Based on the basic principles of human geography, this paper explains the motivation and process of population migration and urban landscape change in Luoyang city

The migration of industrial population from 953 to 1966 had a far-reaching impact on Luoyang's urban society. First of all, it changed the natural structure and social composition of Luoyang urban population. Judging from the natural composition of the population, it not only led to the leap-forward growth of the urbanization level of the population, but also led to major changes in the age and gender composition of the population in Luoyang. The population tends to be younger and more masculine, showing typical demographic characteristics of secondary industrial cities. It has improved the modernity of Luoyang's urban population, enabled Luoyang to have the human resources and structure to transform from an ancient agricultural city to a modern industrial city in a short time, and has become an accelerator for urban social transformation. Second, industrial migration has led to social changes in Luoyang's urban lifestyle. Daily life is not only branded with immigrant life, but also reflects the influence and change of industrial production mode on lifestyle. Apartment-style living style leads to the separation of workplace and time from residence and time, and this dichotomy of time and space improves residents' concept of time. The consumption structure and consumption pattern have also changed, resulting in the path dependence of "unit consumption". The shrinkage of family structure, the outward migration of functions, the changes in family internal relations and the composition of social relations caused by industrial production methods have changed the social foundation. Due to the migration of population and the mode of industrial production, the kinship and geo-social support system, which used to depend on for a living, began to change to the "unit support system" composed of industrial support and unit social security. At the same time, the trust mechanism has also changed, starting from circle (people's trust) trust to system trust, and from experience dependence to knowledge dependence. The sociality of industrial production and the collective consumption of public facilities make the public consciousness, one of the basic contents of modernity, sprout. Thirdly, in terms of urban culture, industrial immigrants from all corners of the country have arranged five-sided and multi-faceted life scenes, and various regional cultures meet, collide, conflict and merge, forming an inclusive, open, fashionable and industrial urban cultural feature. In the process of settlement, industrial immigrants formed the immigrant's Putonghua urban area and the mixed dialect urban area of Putonghua and Henan dialect. The two dialect urban areas were born with the original Luoyang urban dialect, resulting in the phenomenon of three dialect areas. Moreover, due to the powerful political, economic and social and cultural status of Putonghua users, the strength of Putonghua has emerged. The strength of Putonghua reflects the pride and superior social and cultural mentality of industrial immigrants, resulting in a unique social and cultural psychology.
