EU countries, as usual, lead the world in terms of passport suitability for travel. Finland, Italy, Luxembourg, and Spain are tied for third, with visa-free entry to 189 countries.

In this year’s ranking, France, the Netherlands, and Sweden moved up one place, tied for fourth with Austria and Denmark, with 188 visa-free countries. Ireland and Portugal ranked fifth, with visa-free access to 187 countries and regions. The United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Belgium and New Zealand are tied for sixth place, with visa-free entry to 186 countries. Ranking seventh are Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, Greece and Malta, with visa-free entry to 185 countries.
