Xishuangbanna does not need a passport.

Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, located at the southernmost tip of Yunnan Province in China, is a tourist attraction in China. Since Xishuangbanna is located in China, domestic tourists do not need passports, but only need to bring their ID cards. For international tourists or people who need to travel across borders, passports and related visas are required if they are involved in international flights or visit border areas.

To apply for a passport, you need the following materials:

Photos that meet the standards of the Photography Guide for Entry and Exit Documents;

Fill in the complete Application Form for Entry and Exit Certificates of China Citizens;

Original and photocopy of resident identity card; During the collection, renewal and replacement of resident identity cards, temporary resident identity cards may be submitted;

Materials submitted by the exit-entry administration of provincial public security organs to the State Administration of Immigration for examination and approval;

State functionaries who are registered for the record shall submit the opinions of their units or higher-level competent units agreeing to apply for ordinary passports;

The applicant must submit the original and photocopy of the ordinary passport for renewal;

To apply for an ordinary passport, you need to provide an application form, relevant supporting materials, a valid ordinary passport and a resident ID card.
