Can Turkish tourists visit China as individual tourists and apply for visas?

It is not easy for Turks to come to China at present. The following is the announcement of the Consulate of China in Istanbul.

From June 1 2007, visa applications for visiting, studying, working and group tours in our library must be handled through authorized travel agencies, and such case applications will no longer be accepted. If other travel agencies need to apply for a group tourist visa, please designate a travel agency through our library to apply for it.

After the implementation of this regulation, China citizens who have joined Turkish nationality can still apply for visas directly to the Consulate General if they want to visit their relatives in China. (Visa applications will be accepted between 12 and 13 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. )
