Immigrating to Portugal

According to the new Portuguese Nationality Law, all babies born in Portuguese territory can be naturalized as long as one parent holds a legal visa or has lived for at least five years. However, if both parents are illegal immigrants or have lived in Portugal legally for less than five years, the child needs to apply for naturalization after completing the first grade of primary school in TA.
