Does South Africa belong to the East or the West?

South Africa is a member of the Commonwealth countries. Its population consists of British colonists, immigrants from other countries and local indigenous blacks. Most of its living habits came from Britain in those days. The upper class is a very thorough white class. The official language is English, and its education system also follows the traditional Commonwealth model. The social system and economic system are no different from those in Europe and America. Militarily, it is one of NATO's important partners.

East and west are usually divided by the confrontation between the United States and the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union's sphere of influence and ideology are the same as the East, and there is NATO or, to put it bluntly, the West is within the sphere of influence of the United States. According to this division, South Africa must be divided into the west. According to the north-south expenditure of economic strength, South Africa also belongs to the northern camp where Europe, America and Japan are located.
