What do you mean by agricultural subsidies?

Refers to the special funds arranged by the central government and provinces, cities and counties for rural economic and social development, mainly including rural infrastructure construction funds such as rural highway construction, basic farmland construction, comprehensive agricultural development, rural drinking water safety, biogas construction, and agricultural subsidy funds such as direct subsidies for grain, comprehensive direct subsidies for agricultural materials, subsidies for improved varieties, subsidies for the purchase of agricultural machinery and tools, planting and breeding projects, poverty alleviation, relief, rural five guarantees, rural subsistence allowances, and renovation of dangerous houses.

In recent years, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council have issued a series of epoch-making policies to support and benefit agriculture, initially forming a policy system to support and protect agriculture in the new period. In 2009, the state further increased its investment in various agricultural subsidies. On the basis of full coverage of subsidies for improved varieties of rice, wheat and corn for grain farmers, we will expand the scope of subsidies for improved varieties of rape, raise the standards of subsidies for improved varieties, improve the comprehensive subsidy system for agricultural materials, establish a long-term mechanism to ensure the stable development of pig production, and substantially increase subsidies for the purchase of agricultural machinery. Especially in the severe situation of the current financial crisis, it is of great significance to do this work well for promoting agricultural production, increasing farmers' income, and maintaining the healthy development of rural economy and social stability. All relevant departments at all levels in the region should further deepen their understanding from a strategic and overall perspective, regard doing a good job in agricultural subsidies as an important task in agricultural and rural work at present and in the future, and as a major event to promote the sustained and healthy development of rural economy, pay attention to enhancing their sense of responsibility, strengthen close cooperation, and formulate effective measures to ensure the implementation of various national agricultural subsidies policies.

What agricultural projects are there?

1, agriculture and animal husbandry: including the construction of national modern agricultural demonstration zone, the project of increasing grain production and upgrading, the construction of high-standard farmland, the construction of rural biogas, the consolidation of basic grain ration fields for returning farmland to forests, the development of modern animal husbandry, and the construction of standardized pig breeding.

2. Forestry: including modern forestry development projects, forestry industrialization, forest vegetation restoration, urban and rural greening construction and other agricultural projects.

3. Water affairs: including rural safe drinking water projects, small-scale farmland water conservancy facilities construction, water conservancy project maintenance, soil and water conservation projects and other agricultural projects.

The funds for agricultural production development are mainly used for the protection of cultivated land fertility (directly distributed to farmers, the same below), moderate scale operation, agricultural machinery purchase subsidies, the development of industries with advantages and characteristics, green and efficient technology promotion services, the development of animal husbandry and aquatic products, the integration of rural primary and secondary industries, the development of farmers' professional cooperatives, the adjustment of agricultural structure, the comprehensive management of groundwater overexploitation (the adjustment of agricultural planting structure, the same below), and the cultivation of new professional farmers, which are the key points of supporting agricultural production development determined by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council.
