How do retirees apply for tourist visas at the Thai Embassy?
I. Notes on Visa Application
1. China citizens with diplomatic and official passports are exempt from visas within 30 days of their stay in Thailand.
2. There are six kinds of visas in Thailand: transit visa, tourist visa, temporary residence (non-immigrant) visa, diplomatic visa, official visa and courtesy visa. Tourist visas are divided into two categories: sightseeing and medical care. Temporary residence class B (business visa) can apply for one, two or more entry.
Tourist visas are valid for three or six months and can stay for 30-60 days.
4. China citizens can apply for tourist visas through embassies and consulates in China and Thailand or designated institutions. However, other visa applications must be submitted directly to embassies and consulates in China.
According to different visa types, it takes about 2 to 5 working days for the embassy to accept visas.
6. Unless otherwise specified, any kind of visa must be used within 3 months from the date of issuance.
7. In addition to having a visa to enter Thailand, each tourist needs to bring 20,000 baht or equivalent foreign currency; Each family needs to carry 40,000 baht or equivalent foreign currency.
8. Special note: Thailand requires that the passport must be valid for more than 6 months, otherwise it will be refused entry.
9. China tourists can apply for a 15-day visa on arrival at border checkpoints all over Thailand, which cannot be extended after the expiration. When applying for a visa on arrival, you need to provide proof of property, confirmed air tickets and hotel orders. The charge is 1000 baht.
Visa application requires materials.
1. tourist visa (you can stay in Thailand for 60 days)
1) For passports valid for more than half a year, fill in a complete visa application form and passport size photos.
2) Copy of round-trip air ticket or confirmed air ticket order.
3) Certificate of deposit of not less than RMB 10000.
4) Letter of guarantee (in English or Thai) issued by the applicant's unit or relevant department, indicating the name of the applicant and the purpose of going to Thailand (only for China citizens).
