The future is the time from now, and the future time is an instant or a time period relative to the moment we are now in. Relatively speaking, tomorrow is only a part of the future.

Humans should always pay attention to the future, and our planet will eventually decline. Even if we can't wait that long, human beings are always faced with sudden and dangerous threats such as asteroids and large-scale epidemics.

Therefore, countries with relatively advanced science and technology, such as the United States, China, and Russian, are striving to develop outer space for our future (of course, a large part is for military and current interests).

What we have to do now is not to think about what will happen in the future. What we must do is to protect our environment, so that our future generations will not worry about their survival. After all, it won't take decades to immigrate to other planets. I think that's the point.

Western future research has roughly gone through the following stages:

① In the late 1940s and 1950s, social science was the main research content, and theoretical and academic discussions were emphasized, with obvious political and ideological characteristics.

② In 1960s, the research turned from pure theory to social and economic development.

③ After the 1970s, science and technology were the main research contents. Around the impact of scientific and technological development on economy and society, there are various schools of future research, mainly optimists and pessimists.
