Is it reliable for Australian employers to sponsor immigrants?

At present, there are still many Australian employers' sponsored immigrants.

In Australia, there are three forms of employer-sponsored immigration. One is 457, and you need to work in Australia for two years to apply for an employer-sponsored permanent residence visa. The other two categories are 186 and 187, which can realize one-step immigration to Australia.

1. Australia Temporary Work Visa Category 457

Australian Temporary Work Visa Type 457 is suitable for skilled workers who want to work in Australia. The visa is valid for up to four years. Applicants need to be nominated by Australian employers and guaranteed by the company. Type 457 visa is the most commonly used temporary visa scheme for Australian employers to ensure that overseas workers work in Australia. 457 Visa holders can apply for permanent residence visas sponsored by employers after working for two years (categories 186 and 187).

2. Australian Employer Nomination Scheme 186 Visa (ENS)

Australian Employer Nomination Scheme 186 visa is mainly for skilled immigrants who want to work in Australia. Applying for this visa is divided into two steps. First, it must be nominated by an Australian employer. Then apply according to the nominated category. Visa 186 is a part of Australia's permanent employer visa program, and it is a permanent residence visa. Applicants can apply inside and outside Australia. Applicants can also apply for visas for family members if they meet the requirements.

There are three types of Australia 186 visas, namely:

(1) Temporary residence transition stream: It is applicable to applicants with 457 visas who have nominated for jobs and worked for their current employers for more than 2 years, and the employers intend to provide permanent positions for the applicants.

(2) Direct entry category: applicable to applicants nominated by employers; Applicable to applicants who have never or briefly worked in Australia; Applicable to Australian temporary residents who do not have the qualification to change from temporary residence to permanent residence.

(3) Agreement flow: It is applicable to the applicant who has obtained the guarantee from the employer through the labor agreement.

3. Employer Sponsored Immigrant Program Visa 187 (RSMS) in Remote Australia.

Australia's 187 visa is similar to Australia's 186 visa in many places. Compared with visa 186, Australia 187 employer-sponsored immigration scheme for remote areas is suitable for skilled immigrants who are willing to work in remote areas of Australia. Applicants can live and work permanently anywhere in Australia except the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne and Wollongong.
