Living near is a tragedy, and living far away is a comedy. From which work?

"Life is a tragedy from a distance, but a comedy from a distance" is a famous saying of Chaplin, the world comedy master, and it doesn't come from any works.

The original intention of this sentence is to express "the absurdity of the world", just like Chaplin himself and his big and small characters on the screen. It is a typical life of sadness and joy, taking pleasure in suffering and interpreting tragedy with comedy. Pants, worn hat, moustache, big-headed shoes, and a crutch that never leaves his hand, Chaplin took American silent films to the peak with his expression and movements.

Charlie Chaplin (1889 April16-1977 February 25th), born in London, England, is a British film actor, director and screenwriter.

Charlie Chaplin's first film was Making a Living. Chaplin started writing, directing and performing from 19 15, and even worked as a producer and editor. Later, he joined Essani Company, and 19 17 produced Immigration and Easy Street. 19 18, he and his brother started their own company in los Angeles. In 19 19, douglas fairbanks and others were summoned.

But it was not until 1923 that Chaplin made the first film "Women in Paris" for this company. Later, 1925' s The Gold Rush and 1928' s Circus won Chaplin an Oscar.

Chaplin came to London in 193 1 for the premiere of City Lights, and returned the following year. His next film is 1936' s Modern Times. Four years later, he filmed The Great Dictator.

1952, his audio film "Life on the Stage" was released, and he moved to Switzerland in the same year. He made the last film "The Countess" from Hong Kong on 1967, and died at his home in Switzerland on Christmas morning at the age of 88.
