Shishitan Village is located in Yutou Township, a mountainous area in the west of Huangyan, 35km away from the urban area. The villagers are mainly engaged in the cultivation of fruits and vegetables. In 212, the per capita net income of the villagers was 6,3 yuan. Shishitan Village has been successively rated as "Pioneer Project Five Good Village Party Organization", "Village Renovation Qualified Village", "Village-level Party Construction Demonstration Village", "Grassroots Safe Construction Advanced Collective" and "Advanced Grassroots Party Organization". On January 23rd, 1992, Taizhou District Civil Affairs Bureau (1992) No.3 approved the designation of this village as a land-based village in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period.
