Cyprus refugee policy

In 20 18, under the pressure of the European Commission, the Cyprus government revised the Law on Investment Immigration in Cyprus again, renamed the investment plan for investment citizens as "Cyprus Investment Plan", and made some tightening policies for investment immigrants in Cyprus:

1. According to the investment immigration plan of Cyprus, the natural number of qualified investors is limited to 700 per year.

2. The overall approval process is changed from 3 months to 6 months;

3. Conduct a more rigorous investigation on each naturalization application, and the applicant shall bear the corresponding expenses.

Investors must keep the ownership of the investment for at least three years.
