Brief introduction of Yanghe reservoir

Yanghe Reservoir is a large-scale water control project with comprehensive utilization of flood control, irrigation, power generation and fish farming, which consists of main dam, water conveyance tunnel, spillway and power station. The reservoir was designed by the Design Institute of Hebei Provincial Water Resources Department and constructed by Yanghe Reservoir Engineering Headquarters. 1959,1completed in October 1 1, completed in July 196 1.

Since the completion of the reservoir, it has played a certain role in flood control and irrigation. 1989 "Green Water Diversion Project" was implemented to divert water from qinglong river to Yanghe Reservoir, which was readjusted and supplied to Qinhuangdao City. At this point, Yanghe has become an important part of the "Green Diversion from Qin" project.
