I am an immigrant from Zigui County, Hubei Province, and it is the same in our place. 1999, we collectively went to Yichang to petition, and at that time, we replied: the amount of compensation for each person was 50,000, which will be made up in 2009. There is no news so far, but the living expenses for each person are 600 yuan a year, which is probably not enough for one month. At present, we immigrants who have given our homes and left their homes for the construction of the Three Gorges Project are neglected, and it is difficult for us to meet high officials.
