What materials do I need to prepare to renew my visa for studying in the United States?

The applicant must apply for a visa in embassies and consulates in China, USA, where the visa was issued last time, and the visa category of this application must be the same as last time. The only exception is that applicants who have obtained F (International Student Visa), J (Exchange Visiting Scholar Visa) or H 1B (Short-term Work Visa) at other US consulates in China (Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu or Shenyang) can apply for the same type of visa as last time by using the visa-free service. Applicants must travel to the United States with a passport of the People's Republic of China. Applicants who hold passports from Taiwan Province Province or Hong Kong or Macao SAR cannot use this interview-free service. Applicants who have been asked for an additional administrative hearing for their last visa application, and those who have been given the word "Approved" and printed the date in the remarks column, must make an appointment for an interview and go to the embassy for an interview in person. These applicants cannot use the interview-free service. If they use this service, the processing time of visa applications will be delayed. Applicants who meet all the above requirements can go to CITIC Bank to submit the required visa application materials, including the passport containing the original American visa issued to the applicant last time, in person or by a representative during working hours. Note: If China citizens apply for the same visa again within one year after the original visa expires, it is not necessary to collect fingerprints and interview again. Another condition of this policy is that the place where the applicant applies for a visa again must be the same as the place where he applied last time. Using the interview-free renewal service does not guarantee that you will get a visa. Incomplete or inaccurate visa applications will be returned to CITIC Bank. Visa officers will ask these applicants to come to embassies and consulates for interviews in person.
