Jingyuan County is known as "the throat of Qinfeng and the important place of Guanlong". The reason why it has become the county with the highest concentration of Hui people in the country, accounting for 98% of the population, is due to the massive Hui riot in the first year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1862). At that time, the Hui people in Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia areas could not bear the oppression and bullying by the government, so they started to rise up against the Qing Dynasty one after another. The anti-Qing anti-Qing struggle movement of the northwest Hui people with Jinjibao in Ningxia as the center soon formed. The Muslim armies from all over the country supported each other and fought thousands of miles away. , which lasted for 10 years and dealt a heavy blow to the Qing court, but failed miserably under the brutal suppression of the Qing army. In order to "divide and rule", the governor of Shaanxi and Gansu, Zuo Zongtang, reported to the Qing government that in the 11th year of Tongzhi, the four prefectures and counties of Pingliang, Guyuan, Longde and Huating were designated. The Huapingchuan Zhili Hall was set up in the former Huaping County, where troops were built and garrisoned to resettle nearly 10,000 Hui people who had resisted the Qing Dynasty and "fu" in places such as Xi'an, Weinan, Dali, Huazhou in Shaanxi, Qin'an, Zhangjiachuan in Gansu, and Jinjibao in Ningxia. , Taoist priest Feng Bangdong and commander-in-chief Yu Shengrong were stationed in the office to govern, and today's Jingyuan County was born. At that time, the indigenous Han people here were expelled to Guyuan, Pingliang, Longde, Zhuanglang and other places. Only 94 Han people from 15 households in Yongfeng Village near the present county were left to serve the families of government officials. Since most officials lived here, the place Known as Guanzhuang, it is one of the few Han villages in Jingyuan County.
