Introduction by Colin Luther Powell

Colin Luther Powell is a realist of the American dream. As a descendant of immigrants, he became the first black general, the first black chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the first black secretary of state in the United States through honesty and hard work. Different from some politicians who talk on paper, as a Vietnam War veteran, he knows the blood and tears of soldiers, that the army must obey politics, and that the ultimate mission of the army is to build peace instead of blindly pursuing victory, so he has become a rather different kind of "eagle claw black dove" among Vulcan members. The success or failure of the two Iraq wars made people more aware of his noble character and strategic vision. When he was Secretary of State, his support rate was as high as 80%, far higher than Albright, Rice and Hillary Clinton. He's like a bottle of old wine. The longer it lasts, the more precious it becomes.
