Minnan dialect in Quanzhou

The landlord is right. Minnan dialect is the dialect with the biggest internal difference. All counties and cities have obvious accents, and even in the same county, the differences of accents between towns and villages are quite obvious. Other counties and cities didn't speak (Gong). I don't think we can simply explain shishi city's (Gong), which is influenced by Zhangzhou dialect. Also, the local accent seems to be hard to be influenced. Minnan dialect has been conservative and stable since ancient times. Some facts are like this. In the same village, if a person's accent is different from that of the villagers, he will be laughed at.

According to scholars' research, Quanzhou Dialect and Zhangzhou Dialect formed Xiamen Dialect with equal influence because of immigration, which further influenced Taiwan Province people. I think the relationship between immigrants is more important. After all, I think that if there are a large number of immigrants, culture will inevitably follow. Immigration and cultural entry should not be discussed separately. If immigrants come from all over the world, not concentrated in one area. Then the Quanzhou dialect mentioned here should refer to the language spoken by Quanzhou prefecture-level cities. We can't say where Quanzhou dialect is and where Quanzhou dialect is not.

If Gong in shishi city really has a Zhangzhou accent, it is a possible influence. In the past, there were many fishermen along the coast of Shishi, but in Longhai, Zhangzhou, there were still many people fishing in the sea for a living. In the same sea area, there should be long-term exchanges. I myself went out to sea with fishing boats in Quanzhou, met fishermen in Longhai at sea and got on their boats. This should be regarded as the influence of cultural exchange.
