Are there many Chinese people in Vancouver and South Surrey? How about transportation?

South Surrey is in the south of Surrey and belongs to the Greater Vancouver area. It is about 45 kilometers away from downtown Vancouver. The transportation is not very convenient. You have to go through a tunnel (extremely congested) or a bridge (tolled).

According to friends who live in South Surrey, there are about 2,000 Chinese residents there (I don’t know if it is accurate), which is not too many, not too few. Most of the Chinese living in South Surrey are new immigrants from the mainland who have bought homes there in recent years, and most of them are investment immigrants who are relatively wealthy and do not need to work. Because South Surrey is relatively far away and has inconvenient transportation, it is not convenient for people who have to commute to work every day. South Surrey has a good environment, the houses occupy a large area, and the housing prices are much more expensive than North Surrey.
