How do Laos settle down when they get married in China?

Women in this country who want to settle in China after getting married in China need to follow the laws and policies of China.

1. Marriage registration: Both parties shall apply for marriage registration in China Foreign Marriage Registry in person according to the provisions of the Marriage Law of the People's Republic of China and the Civil Code of China, and submit relevant materials.

2. Required documents: The documents that the woman needs to prepare include but are not limited to: passport (as proof of nationality), single certificate (which needs to be notarized in Laos), certificate of no criminal record (which also needs to be notarized in Laos), marriage certificate, immigration application or relevant residence permit documents issued by the Lao Embassy.

3. Apply for residence permit: First, the woman needs to obtain a long-term residence permit in China issued by China Immigration Bureau, which can be a temporary residence permit or a permanent residence qualification.

4. Household registration transfer: After the two parties get married, the woman applies to the local police station or the exit-entry administration department of the Public Security Bureau for registered permanent residence transfer with marriage certificate, residence permit and other relevant documents. Other materials that need to be prepared may also include the relevant supporting documents of the man, such as ID card, household registration book, proof of marital status, etc.

5. Go through the transfer formalities: go to the place where the woman's original account is located with the Certificate of Cancellation of Registration, and get the certificate of cancellation. Go to the local police station for immigration formalities with the approval certificate and cancellation certificate.
