Legal basis: Article 8 of the Interim Measures for the Administration of China Citizens Traveling to and from Hong Kong and Macao for Private Affairs may apply for short-term travel to and from Hong Kong and Macao under any of the following circumstances: (1) Hong Kong and Macao have settled close relatives who need to visit; (two) if the immediate family members or close relatives are compatriots from Hong Kong and Macao, the mainland relatives must go to Hong Kong and Macao to get married; (3) lineal relatives, brothers, sisters and relatives of returned overseas Chinese and their relatives cannot go back to the mainland to visit relatives, but they must meet in Hong Kong and Macao; (four) industries that must go to Hong Kong and Macao; (five) there are other special circumstances, must go to Hong Kong and Macao for a short time.
