What is IELTS?

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is an international English proficiency test jointly organized by the British Council, the British embassies and consulates in China Cultural and Education Office, the Cambridge University Examinations Board (CESOL) and IDP Australia. To register for the IELTS test, you must complete the following steps in order:

Step 1: register as a user of the online registration system of the examination center of the Ministry of Education.

If you have never used the online registration system of IELTS test in the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education, you must register as a user first. To complete this step, you need to provide basic personal information, such as name, ID number, mailing address, telephone number and email address. When you submit the required information, you will get a NEEA user ID number assigned to you by the registration system of the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education. Before registering, you will see the online registration agreement, which sets the corresponding terms for the users of the online registration system. You must click the agree button and agree to abide by these terms, otherwise, the system will not allow you to register. When you successfully register as a system user, the system will send you a confirmation email.

Important note:

It is very important to remember the NEEA user ID and password. Therefore, we suggest that you store these materials in a safe place. Sharing your NEEA user ID and password with others may cause your personal IELTS registration information to be tampered with or damaged without authorization.

The information you enter will be used for contacting you and other exam security purposes. Every time you enter the online registration system of the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education, you must enter your NEEA user name and password. Important note:

Step 2: Pre-store the examination fee.

The IELTS registration process stipulates that candidates must pay all the examination fees before they can choose the examination position. After registering as a NEEA user, every time you enter the "My Status" page, the system will display the payment status of candidates, and candidates can view the examination positions. At the same time, candidates can also see the payment link. Clicking on the payment link will guide you through the payment process.

At present, there are three payment methods:

? Pay online through Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.

? Wire the examination fee to the bank account of the examination center of the Ministry of Education through any bank.

1. Online payment: Click the corresponding online payment button of ICBC or China Merchants Bank to make online payment. After the payment is completed, please record the transaction number provided by the bank for checking and inquiring your payment in the future. Usually, the IELTS registration system of the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education will receive your payment confirmation immediately. However, in rare cases, the banking system will delay the confirmation of the candidates' payment to the registration system of the examination center of the Ministry of Education. Therefore, please log on to the registration website of the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education after 24 hours to verify your payment and registration. If you still don't see the confirmation information of your payment, please call the IELTS service hotline of the examination center of the Ministry of Education for help. If the network connection is suddenly interrupted when you pay on the bank's website, in this case, your online payment may not succeed. Please note that in addition to the uniform examination fee, you also need to pay a handling fee to the bank. ICBC and China Merchants Bank charge a handling fee for each IELTS online payment. Please accurately record the above information displayed on the computer screen, and bring the above information to the bank business hall to handle the formalities of telegraphic transfer of the examination fee to the examination center of the Ministry of Education. The bank will ask you to fill out a money order, and you should make sure that the information you fill in is accurate. When you carefully check the information you have filled in, please give the money order together with the money to the salesperson of the bank, and please keep the receipt given by the bank for future inquiry. According to the specific situation of the bank, the online registration system of the examination center of the Ministry of Education will confirm the receipt of your remittance within 1 to 5 days. Please log on to the registration website of the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education at least two days after completing the remittance. If your remittance is not confirmed, please call the IELTS service hotline of the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education for help. Candidates are responsible for accurately and completely recording the telegraphic transfer information provided by the registration website. In addition to the prescribed examination fee, a handling fee of 1% of the total remittance must be paid to the bank that handles the wire transfer.

Important note:

T/T is not a special service specially set up for IELTS, but an ordinary remittance service set up by banks. So you must ask for wire transfer service when you go to the bank business hall. If you only say that you have to pay the IELTS exam fee, the bank staff will not understand your request.

Step 3: Choose the examination location.

When you successfully deposit the examination fee into your account in the online registration system of the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education, the "My Status" page will display your account balance. Only when the balance is greater than or equal to the examination fee can candidates choose the examination position.

Click to select an examination post, and you will see the page corresponding to the registration time of the examination date, as well as the button of "academic class" or/and "training class". Click the "Academic" or "Training" button, and you can reserve a seat. If you can't click the button, it means that the category is full or the IELTS test of the corresponding category has not been held. Please note: Before the registration deadline, previously unavailable buttons may be reactivated because other candidates canceled their reservations. It is recommended to visit this page frequently.

After clicking the "Academic Class" or "Training Class" button, the test center selection is completed, and the information of the current status can be displayed on the "My Status" page, including the name of the IELTS test center, the test date, your registration ID and the amount of test fees to be paid. Click the two buttons of filling in the registration form, confirming payment and canceling reservation, and you can choose to enter the next step.

If you click the button to fill in the application form and confirm the payment, you will see the IELTS application form. When you fill in the registration form and submit it, you will be prompted to confirm the payment of IELTS test fee.

If you click the Cancel Appointment button, the system will cancel the examination position you selected. In this case, the system will not deduct your examination fee from your NEEA account.

Important note:

Please record your registration ID and put it in a safe place. The registration ID and IELTS candidate number provided in the future will be used to confirm your qualification to take the test and enjoy the services related to the IELTS test.

If you leave or accidentally drop off the line without confirming the payment of the examination fee, please be sure to come back within 30 minutes after choosing the examination position to complete all the steps and confirm the payment, otherwise the selection will be invalid. If the selection is invalid, the system will not deduct the examination fee from your NEEA account.

Step 4: Fill in the registration form and confirm the payment.

After selecting the examination position, there is a button to fill in the registration form and confirm the payment on the "My Status" webpage. Click this button and you can fill in the IELTS registration form.

Before entering the IELTS registration form page, you must read the IELTS candidates' instructions in detail. After reading it, click the button next to "I have read the above instructions and agree to fully abide by the above terms". If you refuse to click this button, you will not be able to continue the registration process.

Please follow the instructions on the screen when you see the IELTS application form. Please note that the system does not allow you to enter your name, gender, birthday, ID number, test date and test center repeatedly, because you have already entered the above information.

When you complete the IELTS registration form, click the submit button and accept the candidate's statement. After that, the system will guide you to the "Payment with Balance" page, display your current balance, and prompt you to confirm the payment of the examination fee. After you confirm to pay the examination fee, you have completed all the registration steps. At this time, the system will guide you into "my state".
