Liang Shanbo: It's not Song Jiang who rebelled here. It became smaller after the demise of the Northern Song Dynasty. Really?

When it comes to Water Margin, people will think of Liangshan 108 heroes, and of course, the magnificent 800-mile Water Margin.

The Yellow River and the Yangtze River are still there, except the water margin. Now, you might as well travel through time and space with me and look for that lost memory in the long river of history!

Why did Confucius finish Spring and Autumn Annals?

On the map of the Western Zhou Dynasty more than 2,000 years ago, there was a lovely wedge shoe in the middle of Jishui, named Konosawa. At that time, Konosawa belonged to Shandong, and a great event happened there.

In the spring of 48 1 BC, the son of Lu was hunting in the west of Konosawa. Because he thought it was unlucky, he hit a monster and killed it. Confucius was knowledgeable at that time, but people always asked him some strange things. Confucius found that Kirin, a Swiss beast, was killed by people in the state of Lu, lamenting the decline of the kings of the Zhou Dynasty, while Spring and Autumn Annals was due to the withdrawal of words.

The real rebel of Juye Ze

Time came to the end of the Qin Dynasty, and Konosawa was renamed Juye Ze.

If the hero of Liang Shanbo at the end of the Northern Song Dynasty is only a character in the novel, then Juye in 208 BC witnessed the real rise of heroes.

Peng Yue was born in Changyi (now Juye) and made a living by fishing in Juye Ze. However, by the end of the Qin Dynasty, the laborers kept on and hunger spread everywhere. In order to make a living, Peng Yue joined a group of people who became an outlaw.

Since then, Chen Sheng uprising, Peng Yue organized an anti-Qin rebel army in Juye Ze, and soon the team grew to tens of thousands.

In the battle between Chu and Han, Liu Bang and Xiang Yu fought against Xingyang, and Xiang Yu crushed Liu Bang. Peng Yue, on the other hand, sided with Liu Bang, and started guerrilla warfare behind Xiang Yu, cutting off his route for providing foodstuff in Liang, which relieved a lot of pressure for Liu Bang.

In the decisive battle between Chu and Han, Peng Yue, Han Xin and Liu Bang jointly defeated Xiang Yu and helped Liu Bang win the world. In return, Peng Yue was made King Liang. A few years later, Liu Bang launched a military operation to eliminate Wang's different surnames, was cooked and killed.

Although Peng Yue finally failed to escape the fate of extinction, he was a real Liangshan hero.

Time travel to the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, the Water Margin first appeared in the history books. "Zi Zhi Tong Jian" records that "in the last years of Zhou Xiande, he dug canals and crossed Caoji and Liangshanbo to the green water tank".

The Yellow River has a high sediment concentration. If the river channel is not dredged in time, the riverbed will accumulate continuously, which will destroy the dam and flood the surrounding lowlands. Since the late Jin Dynasty, the four states of Slip, Luanhe, Yi and Pu on both sides of the Yellow River have repeatedly exploded. According to "History of Song Dynasty", in A.D. 10 19, the flood burst again in Huazhou, and the river flooded all the states. The flood formed a huge swamp in western Shandong, surrounded Liangshan, and connected with the surrounding water system, forming a big lake centered on Liangshanpo. Konosawa (Juye Ze) withdrew from history and was renamed Liang Shanlong.

Diversion of yellow river

It's too close to Kaifeng, Kyoto in the Northern Song Dynasty. In order to prevent the Yellow River from flooding, the Northern Song Emperor started a series of Yellow River diversion projects.

Since the establishment of the Song Dynasty, the brothers Zhao Kuangyin and Zhao Guangyi, as military commanders, could not recover sixteen states. Without Qin Changcheng's northern defense line, the Song Dynasty was embarrassed to plant trees on the border. Therefore, if we transfer the Yellow River to the north, we can kill two birds with one stone, and at the same time increase the northern barrier. (See the blue mark on the original Yellow River)

In A.D. 1048, Song Renzong implemented the first large-scale Yellow River Diversion Project in the Song Dynasty, which burst from Puyang, passed through Daming House, Fucheng and Qingzhou in the north, merged into Baigou River, and entered Bohai Sea in the east, and was cut off in 1069. (See the green label) In A.D. 1060, the Yellow River changed its course again, breaking from Shang Hu, passing through Qingping, Dezhou and Wudi, and entering the Bohai Sea in the east, and was cut off in 1099. (See purple label) In A.D. 108 1 year, the Yellow River changed its course for the third time, from journey to the south, Puyang, through Qinghe and Wuyi, and then turned east at Wangbei Town, and then went north, where it joined the Yellow River which changed its course for the first time 1 year in Qingzhou, and entered the Bohai Sea eastward, and reached/kloc-0. (See Huang Biao) In the winter of 1 128 A.D., in order to resist the nomads from the south, Du Chong was ordered by the Southern Song Dynasty to open the Yellow River levee in a sliding state, and the raging Yellow River roared to the south, with 200,000 victims. Since then, the Yellow River has flowed from Surabaya or Jishui into Huaishui, and then eastward into the Yellow Sea.

Later Jin Dynasty and Southern Song Dynasty ruled Huaihe River. Of course, they want to see the Yellow River rush to the Huaihe River. In this way, the flood disaster in North China will be greatly reduced. However, due to the diversion of the Yellow River, the Huaihe River basin in the Southern Song Dynasty was constantly under pressure and flooded. Over time, the intersection of the two water systems formed the present Hongze Lake.

On the contrary, the water area of Water Margin is decreasing.

First, in the southwest waters of Liangshanpo, after the long-term impact of the Yellow River, sediment deposition continued to rise, and the lake gradually moved northward to low-lying areas; Secondly, the Yellow River was diverted in 1 128, making the Yellow River flow to the Sishui River basin. So, many years later, Hou Jin ordered the recall of the exiles in the former Liangshan to open up wasteland.

Since then, the waters of Liang Shanbo have become less and less, leaving only the present Dongping Lake.

I remember that when Song Jiang gave up the 800-mile water margin in Water Margin and accepted the favor of the imperial court, everyone felt very wronged. However, who would have thought that seven years after Song Jiang's death, in order to resist the late Jin Dynasty, the Southern Song Dynasty diverted the Yellow River to the Huaihe River, and the water area of Liangshanbo continued to shrink. Is this Song Jiang's foresight?

Ozawa witnessed the rise more than 2,200 years ago, and Liang witnessed the rise and fall of the Northern Song Dynasty a thousand years later. It's really embarrassing, only Dongping Lake is still flowing quietly.
