The mood of most people in this country is this:

Or this:

Even like this:

There are many things that need to be accepted slowly. President Trump has said all these words in the past 18 months, and he will also be our president and the most powerful person in the world in the next four years. Four years is a long time. After the four-year term, there may be another Donald Trump campaign. But now, this is what we must get used to.

Now many people are afraid for many reasons.

But at this moment, there are still many Americans who have this feeling:

Or like this:

Or like this:

These people didn't panic about what happened last night. Instead, they are in high spirits, relieved and grateful.

Although most readers of this article can't feel it intuitively, it turns out that last night's election was a happy one for several families. Compared with the panic of every American who voted for Hillary Clinton and watched the election last night, other Americans were very happy. This is the ratio of 1: 1. Hillary's supporters need to go through several stages of grief to accept this fact. I went through nine stages, and I came out. I summed up two points:

1) This thing is not as bad as it looks.

2) This is a time for reflection.

Let's discuss # 1 first. Browsing the internet all night, I saw many beautiful and dramatic remarks made by Hillary's supporters. I think we all need to write them down. Some statements I have seen:

* * * "I want to immigrate to Canada." ***

You and I both know you're not going anywhere. First, Canada doesn't want you. Secondly, this is a great country that you should be proud of. More exciting, all in one point.

"She won the vote. The system is terrible. "

Yes, this system is stupid. But if Hillary loses the vote and wins the election, you will feel that this system is very good. You can't attack the system just because you lose.

* * * "We will never have a female president." ***

I don't believe it. I'm sure you don't believe it yourself. Hillary didn't lose it because she is a woman. Hillary lost, because she was not good at campaigning, and because Trump made good use of social media, many people swore, but Hillary didn't. It is impossible that this country is not ready to elect a female president, and I wouldn't be surprised if there is a female president in the next or any subsequent term. This is an excellent thing at any time.

* * * "Trump doesn't know how to become a world leader." ***

Of course he doesn't know. But think of it this way: the executive departments of the United States need to have professional knowledge of the affairs of 1000, and no president can know more than 10% when sitting in his office. The president's duty is to hire a huge team of experts to complete the remaining 90% things he/she doesn't understand. For Trump, maybe this ratio is not 90%, but 98%. But our administrative department is managed by a large number of people, not just Trump. As a whole, they have all other management knowledge. Indeed, the president's speech and behavior are very personal influences, which may be more thrilling for Trump. I am deeply encouraged by his experience in managing a large and complex company and his unexpected choice of Burns as his running mate. I believe that President Trump is surrounded by many experts who are good at running the administrative department.

* * * "The High Court is rubbish." ***

If you are eager to pay attention to the values of social liberalism, this is a very frustrating and fair thing, but it is also an expected reality. Bush senior appointed two judges, as did Clinton, George W. Bush and Obama. It is rare for an organization to run the White House for more than two terms, so history shows that we tend to choose conservative judges. Maybe another liberal will appoint more liberal judges soon. Yes, if you are a liberal, merrick Garland is very annoying. But on the whole, the fact is that you live in a democratic country, and half of the people in this country are social conservatives. You see, this is the reality. On the bright side, Trump is not a clear social conservative, and neither are his subordinates.

* * * "America is at peace." ***

America is not dead. In fact, what happened last night showed that the United States is still very active. Half of China people feel neglected, angry and deprived of power, and they take control of the government from the people who caused this feeling. This is how democracy works. Half the countries are always frightened by who the president is, which is an uncomfortable compromise. Obama's election has made tens of millions of people feel the same way.

Now, this is an unusual situation. Trump is particularly terrible. Even his party was shocked by him. This is extremely unusual. But this number is not uncommon. He got the same number of votes as Hillary, and then won by a huge electoral vote. This makes his presidential legitimacy lower than that of any president in history.

Second, and more importantly, no one can let America rest in peace, no matter what they do. America is stronger than you and me, and America is stronger than Trump. America is a melting pot with a population of 320 million. It is managed by a government composed of thousands of people and has complicated branches. It is led by a 240-year-old guide. In particular, no one is allowed to swear to let the United States rest in peace in the wave of populism. The United States will not rest in peace, at least not in the hands of any president.

The United States has experienced civil war, slavery, two world wars, several serious economic recessions, the 9/ 1 1 incident, and many really rubbish presidents-they will continue to exist after the Trump era.

* * * "But Trump can still do great damage." ***

Yes, he can. This is terrible. But every president can do a lot of damage. Most of them have done it, but we are still standing. Remember, the president can only do so much without the support of other government departments. So he can't do anything too crazy.

On the other hand, it is not advisable to underestimate Trump too much. He has some good ideas and fresh ideas. He may be excellent in some fields. He is really impressive, but we can't see the whole leopard at a glance.

* * * "That's easy for you to say, white male blogger. I am a colored person and no longer feel safe. " ***

This is what I want to say to him:

This country has your yesterday and will have your tomorrow. America is not the president or the government. It belongs to 320 million people who have never changed. Americans of almost every race are neck and neck in the role of unwelcome immigrants. I think there is a profound national spirit that runs through everything, a spirit that Donald Trump can't touch. There is indeed a lot of racism and xenophobia-when it comes to race and religion, this is a chaotic place-but I don't think Trump's election is evidence that some popular fear trend is spreading. This reminds me of another thing I saw:

* * * "I hate all the people who voted for Trump-these stupid, racist and exclusive rubbish." ***

This is another extremely simplified way of looking at the problem. Trump said in the campaign that the election was extremely dirty. Trump won Obama's greatest advantage among white voters-there is no racial discrimination in voting for a black president. Second, Trump gets along surprisingly well with Hispanic voters. This is not as simple as the media described. Trump did say some indecent things, and he won the support of some disgusting people. But he can represent more than that. In the eyes of many people, he represents hope and change-just as thousands of voters represented by Obama in 2008 needed it.

People vote for hope and change in times of pain. When I watched the election last night, I didn't see a group of fools voting for the wicked. I saw a group of people who have experienced too much suffering and hope that the future will be better.

That's why, if you are a supporter of Hillary Clinton, besides temporary depression and disappointment, you should reflect on it. Half the voters in your country voted for Trump. More than 50 million people-these people have jobs, dogs at home, calendars, piano lessons, doctor's appointments and birthday parties on the square wall. Everyone in the three-dimensional world votes for a better future for themselves and their families.

So yes. Unfortunately, we will see Trump's face in the next few years. He may do something terrible. You will be unhappy that a guy like Trump represents you in the world, and you will worry about what this country will become under his rule. But if we want to do better, we need to ask a question: Why did these 50 million people vote for Trump?

Trying to figure out this problem will help us learn from the past and become better.

Remember: this is not the first time that half of Americans are angry with the madman they elected. We still exist and will always exist.
