History of Beiba Town

1949 begins with Beiba and other townships, originally belonging to Tongjiang County, Sichuan Province, and 1954 is included in Nanzheng County. 1958 is Beiba Commune and Xihe Commune. 1984 is Beiba Town and Xihe Township. 1996, Qianjin Township was merged into Beiba Town, with an area of 183.7 square kilometers and a population of1.1.0 million. It has jurisdiction over Baxi, Sigou, Daxiba, Chiffon Rock, Dazhu, Zhu Jin, Garden, Tea Tray, Xijiang, Chayuanba, Hengpo and Lushi. Guang Jia Township is merged into Xihe Township, with an area of 253.9 square kilometers and a population of 4,000. It has jurisdiction over nine administrative villages, namely Xihekou, Advanced, Daxie, Alliance, Songping, Nanchahe, Guangjiadian, Stalagmite Dam and Huilong. The township government is located in Xihekou Village. 20 1 1 Xihe Township was revoked and merged into Beiba Town.
