How long will it take to review IELTS?

The whole reconsideration process is about 6 weeks, and the latest time is generally a little earlier than this time. The time is counted from the time you apply for reconsideration online to the time when the IELTS examiner reevaluates your grades.

At the same time, be conservative and take the IELTS test again.

The submitted IELTS score is irrevocable after reconsideration, and the money is refunded after reconsideration, but the reconsideration score has not changed or decreased, and the money for reconsideration is not refunded. The original transcripts sent during the reconsideration period will not be returned.

After receiving the original transcripts, candidates can log on to the personal homepage of IELTS registration website of the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education to apply for reconsideration service and pay relevant fees. Candidates also need to send the original transcripts to the British Council for Cultural Education. Once the application fee for reconsideration is confirmed, the reconsideration item cannot be cancelled or modified.

The time limit for applying for reconsideration service is within 4 weeks (28 days) after the examination results are announced. The British Council for Cultural Education needs 6-8 weeks to complete all the above reconsideration procedures. After the heavy sentence is over, the candidates will be informed of the reconsideration results in writing.

There are three kinds of results after the reconsideration of the IELTS scores of British visas and immigrants: the scores of candidates rise, remain unchanged, or decline. There are two results after the reconsideration of IELTS life skills test scores: the candidates' scores change from failing to passing, or they still fail.

If the IELTS test/IELTS test scores of British visas and immigrants have improved after reconsideration, or the IELTS life skills test scores have changed from failing to passing, the British Council for Cultural Education will issue new transcripts and notice of reconsideration results to candidates and send them by EMS. The reconsideration fee paid by the candidate will be returned to the candidate's NEEA account within 3 working days after reconsideration.
