? Jitaipingyuan Reservoir, built in 1950s, is inextricably linked with our family. My great-grandfather, Bu Xianshun, is also regarded as an "able person" in our village. Jabu village has a tradition of weaving. In its heyday, every family had a loom. My great-grandfather was in the business of cotton yarn and also in the business of weaving nets (the object of women's hair in the old society), which made Jiangnan successful. He was cheated by southerners in a transaction and went bankrupt. In the words of ordinary people, business is "forked". Unable to repay the debts of the downstream merchants, he chose to move and hide his debts, and moved from Jabu Village to Zhuangzi, Jia Gui, Ji Tai. (His father-in-law's house) In order to raise money and pay back the money, my great-grandfather took part in World War I, went to Europe and worked in China for two years. After the armistice, he returned to China smoothly. With the income of these two years, I paid off my debts, led my two sons (* * * three sons) back to Jiabu Village, and left my grandfather to wait on his grandparents in Zhuangzi, Guangxi (or with Xingzhuang, the two villages are almost together). At first, I left my grandfather and thought he could live in the town, so I couldn't afford to lose ... My father's brothers and sisters were born in Zhuangzi, Guangxi, and built this house.

The construction of the reservoir at 1958 (or 59) and the relocation of the reservoir area involve more than half of the platforms. Some went to relatives and friends' homes, and some went to the northeast. My grandfather moved to his brother-in-law's house in Qingqiu Village (Yuanjiazhuang). Later, this reservoir, which wasted people and money, only stored water once, and then abandoned it, with no benefit. In my father's words, "there is no water in drought, but there is water in flood." The people who built the Ji Tai Reservoir suffered a lot. When you are hungry, you should push a scooter to work, and when you do, you will be beaten. My grandfather said more than once that "those cadres are not good!"

? After the reservoir was abandoned, the villages moved back one after another. Now all the villages in the reservoir area were built in the early 1960s. Originally, my grandfather planned to build a house in Zhuangzi, Jia Gui, and my great-grandfather said, "Let's go back to our hometown", so our family left Qingqiu (Yuanjiazhuang) and returned to Jiabu Village ... If the reservoir was not built, maybe we would have lived in Guijia Zhuangzi all the time. ...

? Ji Tai Reservoir is an important event and a serious lesson in Shouguang history, which is unscientific and has caused great waste and loss. No one in Shouguang systematically investigated, grasped and reflected this historical event. Shouguang history is not all positive practices, and there are some wrong practices like Ji Tai Reservoir. This is real history. Just a few years ago, "spend my son's money, then spend my grandson's money", just like Gai Lou, a residential area on the spillway. A healthy society must have a critical voice and follow the mass line in order to reduce mistakes and losses. China should attach importance to the construction of this social mechanism and explore ways to realize this social civilization. This is really a major event in China's political construction. We should explore the social evaluation mechanism (third-party authoritative evaluation) of the major projects, major investments and social impacts carried out by higher-level organizations during the term of office of lower-level administrative units, and establish a top-down "responsible, monitorable, evaluable and effective" political operation mechanism.
