Where did Xihe Dialect School come from?

Xiheyan School comes from Xun County, Hua County and its southern and northern regions. Xihe School is one of the famous Confucian schools formed after Confucius' death, when his disciple Xia Zi came to the Xihe River in Wei State to give lectures and spread Confucian classics, culture and academic thoughts. Many people of Xihe School have become good officials of Wei State. This school played a great role in the inheritance and development of Confucianism and the growth of Legalism in the early stage.

Central Plains culture was brought into southern Fujian by immigrants from Central Plains. With immigrants becoming the main body of local residents, Central Plains culture has also become the main body of Minnan culture, which is essentially immigrant culture.

Minnan has a long history, stretching for thousands of years. The development of southern Fujian is closely related to the large number of residents from the Central Plains and the North moving south in history. Such as "Longxi", "Taiyuan" and "Jiyang", these central plains place names show that the main residents of southern Fujian are central plains immigrants.

Scattered villages in southern Fujian, based on region and consanguinity, often have a certain familial nature, which enables them to develop steadily.
