Operating rules for returning the remains (ashes) of single deceased veterans to mainland families

1. 1. In order to meet the actual needs, make the deceased and the glorious return to their original places and achieve the purpose of peace and comfort, these operating procedures are specially formulated.

2. Second, the families of single deceased veterans in Chinese mainland come to Taiwan or invite relatives and friends and fellow villagers in Taiwan to apply for the change of the remains (ashes) to their native places. From now on, they will be authorized to belong to various rehabilitation institutions to accept applications and issue them.

3. To apply for remains (ashes), the following documents shall be submitted to the rehabilitation unit:

6. To go through the formalities of leaving the country for ashes, the applicant should prepare the death certificate, cremation certificate, storage certificate and a copy of the household registration book (one of which has been selected) issued by the temple, and consult the international port customs unit or the international shipping company before leaving the country.

7. All application and exit fees shall be borne by the applicant.

Procedures for applying for inheritance:

(5) After all the above steps are completed, submit all the documents and apply for inheritance to the "legal estate manager" of the deceased (Veterans Service Bureau or Honorary National Home of the deceased's domicile).

(6) After the estate management agency has substantially examined and confirmed all the inheritance documents according to the relevant laws and regulations, the estate management agency will notify the agent (and find a guarantor) to cut and collect after the expiration of the "publicity period" (more than one year ruled by the court) and the "repayment of creditor's rights" (three years).
