Before and during World War II, a large number of foreign artists fled to the United States. Taking the communication with them as an opportunity, American artists re-evaluated European art from their own sense of space and created abstract expressionism with lofty connotation. Therefore, American art has gained a unique appearance. Western art history centered on Europe was inherited and developed by the United States. In the Second World War, especially after the war, the United States became the center and source of modern art in the world after Italy and France, and exerted a wide and profound influence on world art with ever-changing schools and styles.
