The reservoir can provide 94.6 million cubic meters of industrial water and irrigate 30,000 hectares of rice every year. Flood control can protect Wudalianchi, Nehe, Keshan and other towns, and protect 50,000 hectares of farmland and nearly one million people downstream, as well as the North-Black Railway, Heen Highway and G202 National Road.
