Chongqing Three Gorges College was founded in 1956, and now it is located in Wanzhou District, Chongqing, an ancient city with thousands of years and the capital of immigrants. The school originated from the training class for junior high school teachers in Wanxian, Sichuan Province, and is the only multi-disciplinary undergraduate college in the hinterland of the Three Gorges reservoir area (Ministry of Education code 10643).
