Australian marriage immigrants

1. You must live outside Australia, have been engaged to an Australian citizen or a permanent resident or a qualified New Zealand citizen, and will get married in Australia.

You must provide proof to the Immigration Bureau that your intention to get married and live together in Australia is true.

To apply for interdependent partner immigration, you must meet at least the following basic conditions:

1. You must establish an interdependent partnership with Australian citizens or permanent residents or qualified New Zealand citizens.

2. Interdependent partnerships include but are not limited to same-sex couples. Same-sex couples must live together 12 months or more before they can apply.

3. You must also provide proof materials to the Immigration Bureau to prove that your relationship is true and continuous.

Note: Applicants in all the above categories must pass the health and behavior examination.

Spouse/partner

Spouse migration refers to the migration of couples, unmarried couples and interdependent partners.

To apply for husband and wife immigration, at least the following basic conditions must be met:

1. You must marry or cohabit with an Australian citizen or a permanent resident or a qualified New Zealand citizen. Cohabitation means living together for at least 12 months.

2. If you live overseas and have decided to marry an Australian citizen or a permanent resident or a qualified New Zealand citizen before entering Australia, you can apply for husband and wife immigration before marriage, but you must marry the sponsor before the visa is approved.
