I returned to China with my expired residence and residence permit four years ago. Can I return to Italy now?
In view of this situation, this newspaper once again reiterated that China students should not boldly return to China with residence permits during their extended stay, unless there are special regulations from the Ministry of the Interior. According to the student who was refused entry at Milan airport, the police told him that the purpose of our stay is to let you study in Italy, and you will return to China soon after you come to Italy to study. We naturally suspect that the purpose of your coming to Italy is to immigrate, not to study.
After spending a lot of money to come to Italy through labor application, the first thing to do is to apply for work and residence. If you don't get a residence receipt, you may have no problem leaving Italy, but when you return to Italy, don't say that the Italian border guards won't let you in and no airline will check you in. Once this happens, any of your complaints will become "pale and powerless"!
Recently, I have encountered a new problem, that is, the special fares of Emirates Airlines from Italy to China are very cheap recently. Some overseas Chinese with residence permits want to transfer from Dubai to return home. They called to ask if it was all right. After consulting relevant experts and airlines, the reporter came to the following conclusion-
From February 1, immigrants with residence permits must choose direct flights and must enter and leave Italy at the same port, which is aimed at EU countries. In other words, the government only stipulates that transit from EU countries is not allowed, not to say that transit outside the EU is not allowed. Because some countries have no direct flights to Italy at all, immigrants from these countries must transfer in non-EU countries. For example, you need a transit visa to transfer in Dubai to take an Emirates flight. If you insist on trying, you must get two round-trip transit visas through the airline.
Sometimes, theory and technology are one thing, and reality may be another. What's more, the Italian government has not informed the relevant countries about the legality of the transit of immigrants returning to China with residence permits in non-EU countries. In case of trouble, you will be very passive. This is also the reason why no China people are willing to return to China with residence permits or take flights from UAE, Qatar, Singapore and Aeroflot to these countries.
There is no valid original residence in hand, only the extended residence receipt issued by the post office, so it is still the most ideal and safest choice to choose China International Airlines or Alitalia to fly directly to Beijing and Shanghai.
However, according to the practice of previous years, by July, the Ministry of the Interior may make regulations to allow immigrants with residence permits to transfer from EU countries. Whether you can transfer from a non-EU country with a residence permit at that time, you still need to consult the airlines carefully when buying tickets.
Finally, it is necessary to remind overseas Chinese living in northern Italy that they are extending their stay. According to the law, although you have an EU driver's license and an Italian ID card, you are not allowed to drive to other EU countries. If you are asked by the police to show your valid residence in Germany and France, you will be very passive. Of course, going to eastern European countries will actually be much better.
