Handling materials

(1) To apply for the Residence Permit, the following basic materials shall be provided:

2. Valid identification such as resident ID card.

3. Proof of residence that you intend to live in this city for more than 6 months.

(2) In addition to the above-mentioned basic materials, the applicant shall also provide corresponding certification materials according to his own situation and needs:

1. If you come to Shanghai for employment, provide a copy of the labor (employment) contract with a term of more than 6 months (original inspection) and proof that you have participated in the social insurance for employees in this city for 6 months;

2. If you come to Shanghai to invest or engage in self-employment, provide a copy of the business license of the enterprise or individual industrial and commercial households (the original inspection), and prove that you have participated in the social insurance for employees in this Municipality for 6 months;

3. If you come to Shanghai to take refuge in the spouse, children or parents of registered relatives in this city, provide a copy of the marriage certificate (the original inspection) and the proof of the relationship between parents and children recognized by the public security department;

4. If you come to Shanghai for further study, you should provide a copy of the Admission Notice issued by universities and technical secondary schools in this city (original inspection) and a copy of the written certificate issued by non-academic education institutions in this city (original inspection).

Treatment process

1. Acceptance and completion

Bring my ID card and two copies of the front and back of my ID card; Original and 1 copy of the labor contract. At least 6 months of social insurance (endowment insurance) certificate and residence permit application form.

After the above materials are complete, submit them to the neighborhood office where the house is located, and the community affairs acceptance service center will issue an acceptance certificate after receiving the application materials. If the materials are incomplete, it shall inform the applicant to fill in the materials on the spot and return the application materials to the applicant.

If the materials are complete, register the information and photos in the residence permit information system and issue a receipt for the acceptance of the residence permit.

2. Material transfer

The community affairs acceptance service center shall, within 2 working days from the date of issuing the acceptance certificate, hand over the bid information and bid materials to the human resources and social security department or the public security department.

Employment, investment, self-employment, community affairs acceptance service center shall, within 2 working days from the date of acceptance, transmit the bid information to the district (county) Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. For those who seek refuge, study or further study, the community affairs acceptance service center shall transfer the application materials to the local police station within 2 working days from the date of acceptance.

3. Approved by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.

The district (county) human resources and social security bureau shall, within 10 working days from the date of receiving the application information and application materials, conduct verification in accordance with the relevant provisions on employment management.

After verification, those who meet the requirements for handling shall be notified to make a certificate through the residence permit information system. ; Do not meet the requirements, approved does not meet the requirements, it shall issue a written opinion, submitted to the community affairs acceptance service center to inform the applicant in writing and explain the reasons.

4. Approved by the public security department

The public security department shall, within 10 working days from the date of receiving the bid information and bid materials, conduct verification in accordance with the relevant provisions on the management of shelters and study places.

Meet the requirements, notify the certification; Do not meet the requirements, issue a written opinion and explain the reasons, and the community affairs acceptance service center will inform the applicant.

5. Issuing, preparing and obtaining certificates

Shanghai Residence Permit is issued by the Municipal Public Security Bureau.

The public security department shall complete the production of residence permit within 10 working days from the date of receiving the notice of certificate preparation, and the community affairs acceptance service center shall notify the applicant to collect the certificate.

After receiving the notice, the applicant goes to the community affairs acceptance service center to get the certificate.
