What is the Australian 457 visa?

Visa 457 belongs to the scope of work in Australia. Australia 457 visa is a business work visa valid for four years (you can apply for 187 or 186 employer-sponsored immigration after two years of work, or you can choose to renew it after four years). Employers nominate overseas applicants and guarantee visas to work for them.

Visa 457 was introduced by 1996 to meet the shortage of domestic labor market and the demand for specific talents. Senior high school, technical secondary school, technical school and vocational high school need 3 to 5 years working experience (management talents are preferred). Since July 1 2065438, the Immigration Bureau has set up a special channel to provide a convenient way for 457 visa holders to change their permanent residence.

However, on April 17 and 18, Australian Prime Minister Turnbull announced that the Australian federal government would cancel the 457 skilled work visa in order to increase the employment opportunities of Australians, and the existing 457 visa holders would not be affected by this policy.
