How to apply for a visa to Iran?

1. China citizens holding diplomatic and official passports can stay for 30 days without a visa. General business and private passports require visas to go to Iraq. Please pay attention to the validity period and duration of stay after obtaining an Iraqi visa.

2. China citizens with private passports and round-trip air tickets can apply for port visas at Teheran, Shiraz, Tabrizi, Mashhad and other airports (landing visa). The stay time is 14 days, and they need to submit a photo and a visa fee of 80 euros (or equivalent US dollars). You can also apply for an extension, and the longest extension can be 14 days.

3. An invitation letter is required to apply for a visit visa, and the Iraqi inviter needs to apply for a visa return number from the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs in advance. To apply for a study visa, you need to provide proof of an authorized educational institution. To apply for a transit visa, you need to provide a valid third-country visa and a confirmed air ticket to a third country.

Four, if you need to extend the visa after entry, you must apply to the local foreign affairs police station in Iraq before the expiration of the stay period. Overstaying will result in a fine of 30 Wan Li dollars/day. If you are suspected of illegal business operations or labor services, you will be fined by the labor department and the financial department before leaving the country.

5. Iraq implements a work and study visa control system. The Iraqi Foreign Affairs Police Bureau issues residence permit visas to those who work and study in Iraq, and the above-mentioned personnel must apply to the Foreign Affairs Police Bureau for departure visas before leaving the country.
