Where is the Poqiangou Community?

According to the genealogy of Qu family, Jiang, the ancestor of Qu family, moved to Jimo from "Little Yunnan (note: south of Datong, Shanxi) in the early Ming Dynasty, then moved to the southern end of Jiangge Village, and Erzuwan moved to Licun in Shiwan. More than 300 years ago, the eighth ancestor Yicheng and his two sons Yongji and Yongkui moved from Shiwan to Poqiangou village. Because the village is located in the ditch in front of the hillside, it is named.

Located 4.3 kilometers northwest of Shazikou Street, surrounded by hillsides, "there is no road in the distant mountains at first glance, and there is a village in the winding path", which is an appropriate portrayal of the geographical location of Poqiangou community. The whole community is bounded by the long and narrow terrain from north to south and from east to west. The north is bordered by Kutao community in China-Korea street, and the south is a mountain range extending eastward from Wushan. In 2004, there were 536 households in the whole community 180, all surnamed Qu. This is a typical bloody village where people live together.

Since the mid-1970s, the economy has started projects such as smelting, casting, machining and quarrying, and people have also gone out to engage in sideline business, and their lives have been greatly improved. After the reform and opening up, strawberries with short growth period and quick effect are the first choice for the development of forestry and fruit industry, and peaches and apples are planted everywhere. Taking advantage of the characteristics of pure and sweet water quality and rich beneficial elements to human body, a mineral water plant was established and a quarry was expanded. On the basis of vigorously developing collective enterprises, we also actively support individual enterprises and joint enterprises, and a number of individual enterprises and wealthy families have emerged in the community. In 2004, the total economic income of the whole community was 33 million yuan, and the per capita income reached 5895 yuan.

Social undertakings In recent years, the community and five communities, including Nanzhai, have jointly rebuilt Xinnanzhai Primary School and opened their own kindergartens. Community residents participated in cooperative medical care and social endowment insurance. Great achievements have been made in social undertakings such as community family planning. The community has a tradition of literary and artistic activities. From the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC) to the 1980s, the community people arranged and performed a large number of traditional cultural programs, such as walking on stilts and singing Liu Qiang. Liu Qiang has rehearsed dramas such as Xiao Gu Xian and Jing Tai Hui. On holidays, they all go to neighboring communities to perform for villagers. On behalf of Shazikou Commune, he also made many reports and performances in Laoshan County.
