Daixian County in Shanxi Province is located in the northeast of Shanxi Province, at 112 43 ′ ~ 113 21 ′ east longitude and 38 49 ′ ~ 39 21 ′ north latitude. It is about 6 kilometers long from north to south and 4 kilometers wide from east to west, with a total area of 1,721.5 square kilometers (213).
