Li Bai is an authentic Han nationality. Why was he born in Kazakhstan?

Li Bai was born in Jiangyou, Sichuan, and belongs to China people. The entries about Li Bai in the new edition of Concise Encyclopedia Britannica and Encyclopedia of China clearly state that Li Bai is a native of Jiangyou, Sichuan, and the General History of China (first edition 1993) also states that Li Bai is too white to be a famous figure (namely Jiangyou, Sichuan).

In an interview with reporters, Kang Zhen, an associate professor at the College of Literature of Beijing Normal University and an expert on Li Bai's research, stressed that there are still two opinions recognized by the academic circles about Li Bai's birthplace:

First, Li Bai was born in Broken Leaf City in the Western Regions of Central Asia (near tokmak, east of Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan). At the age of five, my family moved to Mian Governor Long (now Jiangyou, Sichuan).

Secondly, Li Bai was born in Qinglian Township, Changlong County, Mianzhou (now Jiangyou County, Sichuan Province). The former viewpoint is mainly inferred from Li Bai's self-report and the preface given to Li Bai's poems by others, while the latter viewpoint is mainly obtained by local scholars in jiangyou city based on local excavation and some folk literature research.

Li Bai's birthplace was confirmed as Jiangyou, Sichuan, and finally determined by the related cultural relics of Li Bai unearthed in Jiangyou. In addition, Broken Leaf City is an important town established by the Tang Dynasty in the Western Regions, located in the east of Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia, and near tokmak in the Chu River Basin. It is the farthest border city in western China and an important town on the Silk Road. With the territory of the Tang Dynasty at that time, Li Bai still belonged to China people.
