The Historical Evolution of Lanxi Town

Lanxi Town, formerly known as "Shuangmiaozi". During the period from Daoguang to Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (1821-1861), immigrants moved in and settled. 1867 (the sixth year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty), Taoist Mao Jiyun built Guan Yue Temple here, and later Niangniang Temple, hence the name "Shuangmiaozi". 1890 (in the 16th year of Guangxu), the 1st Battalion of the Town Border Army Cavalry was stationed in Shuangmiaozi, where the Hulan Li Donation Bureau set up a Li Donation Card. 1905, 1 1 (thirty-first year of Guangxu in Qing dynasty) In October, Shuangmiaozi Street was designated as Lanxi County Administrative Office. 1907 (thirty-third year of Guangxu in Qing dynasty) In July, the new office was established and completed.
