Duan Yongping is a native of Taihe, Jiangxi.

Duan Yongping is from Taihe, Jiangxi, and Nanchang. 1982 After graduating from Radio Department of Zhejiang University, he was assigned to Beijing Electron Tube Factory. After that, he studied econometrics in the Economics Department of Renmin University of China and got a master's degree.
