What information do you need to get married in mainland Taiwan Province Province?

Mainland marriage law stipulates:

1. Boys must be 22 years old. 2. Girls must be 20 years old.

Please ask your mainland spouse to check the following items before you start the marriage procedure:

1. Whether the ID card is still valid.

2. Whether the content of the ID card is correct (there has been an error in the number).

3. Whether the name, birthday and ID number of the ID card and the household registration book are consistent or normal.

4. Is the first page of the household registration book stamped (three chapters: provincial and municipal public security departments, township police stations and undertakers).

5. Does the registered permanent residence contractor sign or not?

6. The household registration book has been altered, so it needs to be stamped in the district.

7. If the marital status of the spouse is blank, please contact the marriage registry. It is best to record unmarried or single or divorced.

8. Have mainland spouses changed their names since they came to Taiwan?

Taiwan Province Province has the following three steps. For details, please go directly to the Immigration Bureau of Taiwan Province Province.

Step 1: Taiwan Province residents apply to Taiwan Province District Court for single certificate and declaration of no close relatives.

Step 2: Go through the marriage formalities at the Civil Affairs Bureau of Taiwan Province Foreign Marriage Registry where the mainland spouse is registered.

Step 3: The mainland should prepare the materials for mainland spouses to come to Taiwan after marriage.

Mainland spouses of Taiwan Province people are allowed to reunite and enter the country. After marriage registration, they can apply for family residence and then they can work.

Mainland spouses who have obtained permission for family members to stay or come to Taiwan for reunion may apply for mainland parents to visit relatives in Taiwan if they are pregnant for more than seven months or within two months after delivery or abortion.
