How long can I get an American immigrant visa after a successful interview at Guangzhou Consulate?

Under normal circumstances, after successfully applying for an American immigrant visa, you can wait at least three working days after the interview to check the visa application status. If there are no special circumstances, you will definitely get a visa within one week. Applicants need to leave their family members' passports after the interview, and wait for the Guangzhou Consulate to inform the main applicant to collect their family members' passports and visas at the designated post office.

Need to be reminded that:

1. After receiving the visa (affixed to the passport) and the attached visa package, carefully check the information in the letter attached to the visa and visa package. Ensure that the information contained in the above letter is accurate.

Please don't open the visa package. Holders must carry their visa bags with them when flying to the United States, and hand them over to the immigration officer intact at the American port of entry. Please also note that you must enter the United States within the validity period of your visa.

3. To obtain legal permanent resident status (LPR) or green card (I- 15 1 or I-55 1) that allows you to live and work in the United States, you must enter the United States within the time specified in the visa.
